Excellence in Field of Expertise, 2011
Under the leadership of Dr. Jeffrey Allen, President of The Art Institutes International Minnesota, an annual Faculty Recognition program has been inaugurated. This program honors faculty members who have demonstrated excellence in Teaching, in Mentoring, Public Services and Alumni Relations, and in a specific Field of Expertise. An inscribed campus plaque, individual commemorative awards, and stipends are a part of this recognition. Nominations were solicited from all members of our campus community and selections made by the Faculty Development Committee.

Whether it is a film, a TV show, or a web show, there is always something in production that he can tie into a lecture or involve students in. Dedicated Service Award, 2006
The Dedicated Service Award recognizes faculty and staff whose contributions to student success are noteworthy. This was awarded quarterly for a while, and I was the first recipient, following a tough year of producing the feature film Terror Report with a number of advanced VFX students.
