I have wanted to do this for a long time. This is me in my chosen career, circa first grade.
“Directing is hard, but I’ve shot everything from actors and musicians to pro-wrestlers and puppets, miniatures and greenscreen. My commitment is not to filmmaking as high art, but as commercial craft, where the bottom line is entertainment and timelessness. I abhor waste, and long for the days of lower budget filmmaking when edgy stories could be told and were not aimed at the lowest common denominator. My specialities lie in directing quickly and on deadline, supervision of visual effects on a budget, and production design on a dime.”
“Some directors are camera-oriented, more interested in pretty angles than stories. I am actor oriented, my focus as a director has always been on making the performers look good. I take wordsmithing seriously, especially for comedy, and always look for the best way to say a line to deliver maximum comedy and clarity in the shortest time possible.”
